Seven lakh engineering students have been shocked by the news that the All India Council of Technical Education has decided not to accept the Tamil Nadu government’s decision to “pass the Arrear students in engineering course”.
The Tamil Nadu government has now announced that all students except the final year of higher education in the Corona environment will pass. The Government of Tamil Nadu had issued a major announcement that all engineering students would be made to pass in the previous years that Arrear could hold. In this case, the study of engineering, AICTE, which is considered to be the head of engineering colleges has written a letter to the Anna university. In it, the Tamil Nadu government has stated that it cannot accept the decision of all those who have passed.
The letter also questioned the basis on which the first three years of graduation were declared. The main point of the letter is that it is unacceptable that millions of engineering students have passed such a conclusion. In this situation, it has been informed that if the university side violates the rules of the All India Council of Technology, there will be a problem in getting recognition for Anna University in the future.
In this context, Anna University Vice Chancellor Surappa has explained about the AICTE email that the pass of Arrear students is not valid, the AICTE email issue has been brought to the attention of the government. Surappa has said that the Tamil Nadu government will take the final decision on the Arrear issue. Higher education sources say that the next decision of the Tamil Nadu government in this matter will be known after consultation.
