Allahabad, Mumbai, Lucknow & other universities to begin Final Year Exams 2020. After Supreme Court’s verdict on August 28 to conduct the Final Year Exams 2020 this year, all major universities across the country have geared to conduct the exams in September-October.
Many universities including Allahabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, BHU, and others have already released the schedule for the final semester exams.
While some universities have opted for online exams, some are going with open book method. There are many states that have asked for an extension from UGC, as directed by Supreme Court for conducting the final year undergraduate and postgraduate exams from September to next month as many students are not mentally prepared for the evaluation due to this pandemic.

The Universities will have to conduct the exams by following the Standard Operation Procedures, SOPs issued by both UGC and the Ministry of Health. As per the newly released four pages SOPs by the Health Ministry for all exams, the staff and students from containment zones are not allowed to be physically present at the exam centers.
Alternative arrangements are to be made for them. They may be allowed to appear in exams at a later stage, say the guidelines on conducting tests during the COVID-19 pandemic.
