AP SSC Exams 2020 Cancelled, All Students Promoted. Andhra Pradesh education minister Adimulapu Suresh on Saturday announced that the government has decided to cancel the AP SSC examination. Minister further said that the decision is taken considering the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases. AP SSC Exams 2020 Cancelled Details:
Over six lakh students had registered for the AP SSC exams scheduled to be held from July 10 to 15, 2020. However, the exam has now been cancelled in view of the pandemic. Earlier, the government had decided to conduct exams following the protocols of Covid-19. The Board had reduced the papers from 11 to 6 and also increased the number of centres.
In addition to that, hand sanitizers were made available at exam centres, and other measures were taken. However, conducting exams needs huge efforts and teamwork of various departments. On June 10, the minister had announced that the examination would be conducted as per the schedule. However, the minister at his press conference clarified that the AP SSC exams have been cancelled.
All Students Passed without Examination:
Earlier, the child rights organisations in the state had approached AP governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, to seek his intervention to advise the state government to cancel the SSC examinations for the safety of students in view of Covid-19. AP government has also decided to cancel AP Inter supplementary examination. The education minister further confirmed that all the 1st and 2nd-year students who failed in AP inter examination are also declared pass.
