CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to make sure the participation of students in the ‘Water Talks’ which is organized by National Water Mission. National Water Mission (NWM) under the Department of Water Resources has been conducting lecture series under the title ‘Water Talk’- on the third Friday of every month. ‘Water Talk’ is being held to promote information on different topics related to water conservation and another relevant discussion among participants. In the account of future and present perspectives to deal with issues like water scarcity the students role is vital and cannot be denied, the board says. Adopting the best practices among students through these talks will enhance their knowledge of water-related issues. Students’ participation will also make sure a consistent dissemination of information and will build capacities in better water management. The lecture series which is held every third Friday of the month is lead by water experts present innovative perspectives on current water issues in the country. Due to COVID 19 pandemic, the last three lectures were online. The Board believes that the ‘Water Talk’ is a beneficial platform for students and has requested all schools to inspire students to participate in the lecture series by NWM.
