CHSE Odisha 12th Exams 2020 – Pending Papers Cancelled. The examinations for the Odisha Board 12th class 2020 have been cancelled by the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha. The Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha has come up with an alternative assessment scheme, quite similar to CBSE’s assessment scheme, to prepare result for class 12 students.
The Council may conduct the exam for remaining papers when the situation is conducive and will be held for students who wish to improve their marks. The students who have appeared for four theory exams, their marks in the best three subjects will be considered for the pending paper, as per the revised assessment scheme.

The decision has been taken in the wake of the spread of Covid-19 in the state. It has also been announced that an alternative method of assessment similar to the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE would be adopted by the state government of Odisha to declare the results. School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said to the reporters, “examinations for all the pending papers of all streams – arts, commerce, science and vocational education have been cancelled.” These examinations were scheduled to be held from March 23 to March 28.
In many districts, Odisha 12th Results 2020 have been delayed due to the lockdown announced to curb the spread of Coronavirus pandemic. As per the details available via CHSE Odisha Controller of Examinations Bijay Kumar Sahu, a total of 3.43 lakh students have appeared for the Plus Two Exams. Of these students 2,18, 800 students appeared in Arts stream, 98,536 appeared in Science stream and 25,770 in Commerce.
