CLAT 2020 Mock Tests to be available from July 17 – UG gets 5 mock tests, and PG gets 3. The Consortium of NLUs has notified that it will conduct a series of mock tests to acclimatize students with the upcoming CLAT 2020 entrance exam, which is set to be conducted in computer-based, online, centre-based mode. It may be noted that the exam was originally scheduled to be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, but has moved to the online mode given the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
For the undergraduate programme, there will be five CLAT UG 2020 mock tests, with the first mock test scheduled for July 17. Meanwhile, for CLAT PG three mock tests have been planned, with the first of the series slated for July 24.
With the COVID-19 lockdown imposed, the social distancing norms will be strictly practised at the CLAT 2020 designated exam centres. The Consortium has also increased the number of examination centres from 67 to 203 so that the number of test-takers in each exam centre will be reduced and students will be able to appear for the exams from their nearest centre.
|Mock Test Number||
|CLAT UG||Mock Test 1||July 17, 2020|
|Mock Test 2||July 24, 2020|
|Mock Test 3||July 31, 2020|
|Mock Test 4||August 7, 2020|
|Mock Test 5||August 14, 2020|
|CLAT PG||Mock Test 1||July 24, 2020|
|Mock Test 2||July 31, 2020|
|Mock Test 3||August 7, 2020|
The logic behind the additional locations is it will bring down the number of test takers per exam centre. Also, with increase in the exam centre count, the candidate will now be able to appear in an exam centre near to their staying place. This will bring down travel time and thus chances of exposure.
Apart from these, the consortium has also released a list of exam-safety norms, including sanitization of exam centres, asking students to wear masks and carry sanitizers.
