Central University of Tamilnadu Cancels Online Semester Exams – Check CUTN Official Announcement. The Central University of Tamil Nadu has decided to cancel the end semester online examinations for final year students. The Central College of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) Tiruvarur has rolled again its choice to conduct finish semester examinations for ultimate 12 months college students on-line. College students of all programmes (apart from M Phil and PhD) will probably be assessed primarily based on steady inner evaluation throughout the present semester. Moreover, this, cumulative grade level common (CGPA) earned until the earlier semester will probably be thought-about for the topics handled by the scholars.

Central University of Tamilnadu Cancels Online Semester Exams:

Considering the ongoing COVID18 pandemic situation, and as a contingent measure students of all programmes (except M.Phil./Ph.D) offered by the Central University of Tamil Nadu who are supposed to appear for their even semester examinations during April/May 2020 would be assessed based on Continuous Internal Assessment during the semester and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) earned till the previous semester considering the subjects passed by the students.

60% weightage will be given for Continuous assessment in the current semester (to give more weightage to the performance of the students in the current semester) and 40% weightage for CGPA earned till the previous semester for theory courses.

For practical courses, 100% weightage will be given to continuous assessment in the current semester. There will be no University examinations. As it is not possible to conduct immediate supplementary examinations, which will be conducted after the publication of even semester results in normal condition, the above method will be followed for backlog/arrear papers of the third semester of all P.G programmes, the ninth semester of all Integrated Programmes and Private candidates (students completed the duration of their programme during earlier years and registered for arrear papers).

This assessment modality is applicable also to the backlog/arrear papers of even semester for final year students of all Programmes. The decision will be taken about the conduct of examinations for backlog/arrear papers for other students (other than final years) at a later stage.
