Indian Institute of Science (IISc) designed ‘AnamNet’:
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) designed a special tool called ‘AnamNet’ to diagnose the severity of coronavirus infection in patients’ lungs. Researchers from the Departments of Computational and Data Science (CDS) and Instrumentation and Applied Physics at IISc conducted the study in collaboration with colleagues from the Oslo University Hospital and the University of Agder in Norway.
- The software is designed to ‘segment’ the scan as ‘infected’ and ‘not infected’.
Amazon India signed a MoU with DGR:
Amazon India has signed a MoU with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR). Under this partnership, Amazon India will create alternate career opportunities for ex-service personnel who have served the country.

Music director Issac Thomas Kottukapally passed away:
Noted music director Issac Thomas Kottukapally, has passed away. Isaac had won the best music director award at the National Film Awards in 2010 for his background score in the film ‘Aadaminte Makan Abu’.

Ajai Malhotra elected as chairperson of Advisory Committee at Human Rights Council:
Ajai Malhotra has become the first Indian to be elected as the Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of the Human Rights Council. Malhotra has previously served as ambassador to Russia, Kuwait, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Romania (with concurrent accreditation to Moldova and Albania) from 2003 to 2005.
