“Final year Undergraduate exams to be postponed to August”, said Delhi University to High Court.
Delhi University informed Delhi High Court on 8 July that they have decided to postponed final year UG exams to August which was scheduled from 10th July.
The earlier source said that the Human Resource Development Ministry asked to postpone open book examinations for final year students due to COVID-19 issues. The source also declared about the meeting held between Delhi University higher officials and Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. The meeting ended up with the discussions about Delhi University admissions and CBSE Board Examinations results. This was tweeted by Pokhriyal on Tuesday.
Pokhriyal also said, “MHRD is mainly concerned about student’s health and quality education.”
This shows Corona Virus has created a great impact on everyone to think life is more important than anything. Moreover, exams will lead to much stress among the students especially during COVID-19 period, which might lead to increase community spread across students when they gather in the University for exams etc.,
Apart from that transportation is also a big issue when students want to move from their place to the exam centers. This may lead to an unnecessary increase in spread of the Corona Virus. The decision taken by Delhi University is welcomed by the students and the parents and gave a big relaxation.
