Free LPG refill till Sep, EPF support till Aug – Extended


The Union Cabinet in Delhi decided to extend free three LPG refills till September. PM Uday Yojana has decided to extend the time limit for availing free LPG under PMGYK which will benefit poor mothers and sisters. This was announced b Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This benefits 7.4 crores, women, in India during this COVID-19 crisis.

The Union Cabinet also announced the extension of Employees’ Provident Fund for small scale business people and workers who earn up to Rs 15000 until August. This facilitates the people to get a high take-home salary and also help employers in their beneficiary.

Union minister Prakash Javadeka said this benefit will help nearly 3.7 lakh establishments and 72.2 lakh, employees. The total expenditure for this benefit is Rs 4,860 crore. The center will pay 12% of employees’ and employers’ share under EPF.

Apart from this, the cabinet has also announced free grains and pulses in ration till November. PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna has decided to provide 5Kg of rice or wheat and 1Kg of Chana to each 20 crore families under the National Food Security Act. The food ministry has also extended free ration to migrants without ration card under Atmanirbhar Bhara
