Gauhati University to Conduct Term-End Exams for Students in All Levels in a Mixed-Mode. As per the latest news the UGC has announced to conduct the Exams for students of all semesters/years. The varsity will conduct the term-end exams by following a mixed-mode or a combination of online as well as offline modes. The UGC guidelines require conducting of University exam in either online or offline or ‘blended’ mode, as feasible.
Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Jyoti Handique said in a Letter that….
The University plans on completing all exams by 30th September 2020. The letter from the VC addressed to the students read that there will be an examination in some form for students across all levels.
According to the latest update, this could imply that exams are likely to be conducted to 1500 students enrolled in-campus as well as students in 350 colleges that are affiliated to the State University. The University will conduct the exams in an exclusive and student-friendly manner where online exams will have minimal weightage.
The examination calendar and a detailed procedure regarding the conduct of the exams will be immediately published once the ongoing lockdown in Guwahati is lifted. The Vice-Chancellor mentioned in the letter that pending activities, including admission, the start of the new session will be restarted by the University when the Government permits the re-opening of educational institutes.
