PM Modi welcomes WHO’s Decision to launch Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India. Prime Minister of India shri Narendra Modi has addressed the fourth global ayurvedic festival virtually through video conferencin. During his speech, he welcomed The World Health Organization (WHO) decision to set up Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India.
He also called on the world to visit India for ‘wellness tourism’ at a time the world is reeling under the coronavirus pandemic situation. This new centre will support WHO’s efforts to implement the WHO traditional medicine strategy 2014-2023. The main objective of this global centre is to boost countries in developing policies and action plans to strengthen the role of traditional medicine.
