GSEB Board Exams 2020. Gujarat School Education Board has Announced Syllabus Reduced for Classes 9th to 12th from Official Site. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has earlier this week announced that it has reduced the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 by 30 per cent for this academic year. The syllabus has been reduced considering the academic loss students have suffered due to the closure of schools. The GSHSEB will also be reducing the syllabus for similar classes. The syllabus for classes 9th to 12th has been reduced by 30 per cent.

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, GSHSEB to reduce the syllabus for the students including only the most essential topics. Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama informed, “Syllabus reduced have been passed on to the Board to begin work on syllabus reduction. The decision is likely to be taken within a week. The educationists have already conducted one webinar on Monday to discuss the possibilities to reduce the syllabus.
The advice from the educationists would be sought through a webinar and the syllabus topics would be discussed. The changes are most likely to be informed to the students and the teaching staff within a week. However, the educationists are of the view that the loss in teaching hours due to the Covid-19 pandemic for students in Gujarat will be comparatively less than that for the CBSE students.
One webinar for the syllabus has already been conducted on July 6, 2020. The students can expect a reduced syllabus like that of CBSE soon for the Gujarat Board too. As the academic session in the state board schools commences from June unlike April in CBSE schools, the state board schools still have more time left in hand.
