Hackers access exam question bank of Punjab University. Central University of Punjab (CUP), Bathinda, has canceled 13 exams held from July 6-8 after the university found that its question bank had been hacked. The university and faculty members received a mail with a link, by clicking which gives access to all the question papers of the ongoing exams which started on Tuesday. Punjab VC Statement about this Hacking Issue:

Vice-chancellor RK Kohli Kohli said that “It was found that these students had average marks in the previous semesters but in this session of online exams, they scored more than 92%, much higher than other students. We have shared these details with the police for cyber scrutiny of the matter”. The University launched a number of selection computer-based classroom exams for closing yr college students in 2015. Nevertheless, as a result of COVID-19 and subsequent closure of the campuses, the college determined to conduct the exams on-line utilizing the web.

The college members and college administration have been receiving emails from college students from underserved areas similar to Jammu and Kashmir and numerous states of North East area going through community points in addition to the availability of digital screens. The end-semester exams for the final year students commenced from July 7. Each faculty member was asked to make 500 questions and upload it to the question bank for the scheduled online multiple choice question papers.
