Haryana schools set to reopen from July 27 after summer vacation. The Haryana Directorate of School Education said that schools in the state will reopen from July 27 after summer vacations end on July 26. As per the government order, universities and colleges in the state will remain shut till July 31. In an official notification, the Directorate of School Education, Haryana, has declared summer vacation from July 1 to 26 for schools across the state. Haryana education minister Statement about schools reopening:

For the government and private schools, the state government announced a summer vacation from July 1 to July 31. However, the teaching and administrative staff members were asked to join on July 27.

In his statement, “From July 27, 2020, the school will reopen for teachers and non-academic staff only, and students will not attend schools,” Haryana education minister Kanwar Pal said.”

The Union home ministry will issue necessary guidelines on allowing students to attend schools after reopening as per the circumstances prevailing then, he added.

At the same time, all the universities and colleges in the state will remain closed till July 31 to curb the spread of COVID-19 among students.  The nation has now entered the “Unlock 2” phase, starting from July 1 to July 31. The Center has directed the states to keep schools, colleges and other educational institutes closed to contain the spread of the deadly contagious virus.

Haryana’s COVID-19 count rose to 14,941 on 01.07.2020 with 393 new positive cases reported in the last 24 hours. According to the state Health Department, there are 4,202 active cases in the state, and the number of patients who have recovered/discharged stands at 10,499. The recovery rate in the state is 70.27 per cent.
