HRD Ministry Releases Road Map for NCERT for New Academic Session 2020-21 – Check Details Here. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has released a new roadmap to be followed by the National Council for Education Research and Training for the next academic year. The process of designing the curriculum and content must be completed by NCERT latest by October 2020 for the students of classes 1st to 5th. About HRD Ministry’s Roadmap for New Academic Session:
The NCERT roadmap has been designed keeping in view the decision to set up the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission under Atma Nirbhar Bharat, with a focus on Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and an approach that emphasizes learning outcomes.
As per the guidelines announced by the HRD ministry for NCERT, the council has been asked to prepare the following for the implementation of learning outcomes (LOs) for classes 1 to 10:
Study Material Based on the Learning Outcomes: Info-graphics/posters/presentations describing each of the Learning Outcomes, for every subject and for each class from classes 1 to 5 should be completed by October 2020. The Educational material and resources for classes 6 to 12 be prepared by June 2021, in a phased manner.
Online Teacher Training Course: For the teachers of classes 1-5 to be finalized by December 2020, and for the teachers of classes 6-12 by June 2021, Whereas training course for teachers of classes 6-12 to be done by June 2021, in a phased manner.
Design Supplementary / Alternative Educational Material: There are students who do not have access to any kind of internet facility, for such students, NCERT should develop alternative educational material for students of Classes 1 to 5 by December 2020 in a phased manner. The same should be developed for Classes 6 to 12 by June 2021 in phases.
10 questions on 2-levels of proficiency: Ten questions on two levels of proficiency to be developed for classes 1 to 5, by November 2020 and for classes 6 to 12 by March 2021, to assess the learning outcome of each subject.
NCERT will also prepare the content for Class 1 to 12 for SWAYAM PRABHA channels (1 class 1 channel) and start the channels by August this year under AtmaNirbhar Bharat for PM E-Vidya.
