About ICAI:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is the national professional accounting body of India. Final Decision on July 10:

Previously, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) said that students can opt-out of the July exam and carry forward their candidature to the November exam. For students who choose not to opt-out of the exam. The ICAI will inform the Supreme Court about its final decision on July 10 after consulting with all states. “It is mindful of spike in Covid-19 cases in various states and might not go ahead with the exam,” said the ICAI.

The bench comprises of justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari, and Sanjiv Khanna who adjourned the hearing in the case till next week after the Institute asked for more time to figure out the feasibility of conducting the CA exam.
