IIT Delhi Placements: More Than 85% Placed In 2019-20. Students of the Indian Institute of Delhi, or IIT Delhi, have received more than 1,100 job offers from over 430 national and international organizations in 2019-20.
Over 85.6% of registered students of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi got placed in 2019-20, according to an official IIT Delhi release. Students have received more than 1,100 job offers from various national and international organizations and “broken all previous year records”, said the statement. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has concluded the final placement season for various courses and domains. It witnessed 782 job offers with 767 of them being Domestic and 15 of them being International. Institute is very positive about the performance in the current placement season. Sectors like IT, analytics, core, and management were some of the best performings in this season.
IIT Delhi Placements Highlights 2019:
Within 5 days of the placement season, the institute witnessed a giant leap in the number of offers which was 782. IT was the major performer in the placement season with 26% of the offers being made in the sector with positive participation of students. Core companies also participated with their full potential with 28% of the offers coming from the sector.
The Analytics and Consulting sector also performed well as compared to last year with 14% and 8% job offerings. Microsoft was one of the major recruiters of all the companies visiting the campus.
IIT Delhi Sector-wise Placement 2019:
The students received offers from different sectors in the placement season 0f 2019 in various companies. Different courses performed differently or positively with major participation or recruitment coming from IT, core, analytics, and consulting sections.
“IIT Delhi has broken all previous year records of job placements. This year, it was observed that the number of placement offers increased by 4%,” Professor S. Dharmaraja, Head, Office of Career Services (OCS), IIT Delhi, said in a statement. “This became possible because of the teamwork, dynamic strategy, and knowing the skills of students and the various profiles of core companies,” Prof. Dharmaraja added. The seamless placement conduct was the result of contribution from staff members, coordinators, volunteers and industry players, according to Ms. Anishya O. Madan, Industrial Liaison Officer (OCS), IIT Delhi.
