India Post GDS Latest News Regarding Merit List. Every year India Postal Circle releases notification for filling up the huge vacancies. The selection is merely based on merit list (10th Marks). The selection process is now revised by the board for all the Postal Circle. Now the notification released for only Tamil Nadu & Odisha for all other region they will release the notification soon by revising the selection process & eligibility. India Post GDS Official Announcement:
Total percentage of marks obtained by a candidate, irrespective of whether the candidate has passed the 10th standard in first attempt or in compartmental / supplementary examination, will be taken into account, while calculating the Merit List and drawing out selection panel for each GDS post.” The Candidate passed Xth class examination in first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.”
Earlier, Eligibility Details:
The candidates who are passed in 10th board exam & also who passed in the supplementary examination can also apply and they are considered by the board. Gramin Dak Sevak Selection Process doesn’t include any exam – no exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates who have applied for GDS posts. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Class 10 board exam (Matriculation).
The 10th supplementary exam passed candidates can also apply they are also considered by the board. One attempt candidates alone get an opportunity to apply their marks will be considered for the merit list.
