JEE Main, NEET 2020 – Emergency meeting conducted to discuss postponement of exams. Subramaniam Swamy has shared that an emergency meeting is underway to discuss the matter for NEET exam date.
As per Union Minister Subramaniam Swamy,
An emergency meeting will be conducted soon to discuss the fate of the conduction of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 and the JEE Main 2020 amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The dates of the JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 exams are still a matter of concern for many students who have registered for the medical entrance test. Students have been constantly pushing for the postponement of the examination due to the pandemic. While JEE is scheduled to be held between September 1 to 6, NEET is supposed to be held on September 13.
In his tweet, Subramaniam Swamy said
It has been conveyed to the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal that the NEET UG 2020 examination should be scheduled after Deepavali when the Covid-19 situation is better in the country.
Several students also filed a plea in the Supreme Court for the postponement of the exams, which was later dismissed. Subramaniam Swamy decided to intervene when several candidates approached him with this issue.
NEET 2020 Admit Cards Soon:
Even though students have been constantly voicing their concerns about the conduction of examinations during a global pandemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification stating that the NEET 2020 admit cards will be released soon.
