Almost all state boards in the country have now been cancelled as a result of the Jharkhand government’s decision. Only Assam has confirmed that the exams will be held in July. However, Assam’s Chief Minister has stated that the tests will only be held if the positive rate falls below 2%.
The State Boards’ decisions come after the Central Board of Secondary Education announced that the class 12 exams will be cancelled. While requesting that the examinations be cancelled, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also encouraged “all stakeholders” to be empathetic to students.
