JNU Offline Exams to Be Held After Re-Opening!!! Jawaharlal Nehru University has released a statement said that it will conduct examinations in the offline mode for students who could not utilize online facilities to appear in the examinations. The offline exams will, however, be conducted only after the varsity re-opens.
As per the academic calendar issued on 9th May, 2020, the varsity administration has also made it clear that the online examinations and evaluation work of the same will have to be completed by 31st July 2020.
The official clarification released by the Evaluation Branch of JNU read that as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on 30th May 2020, the date of reopening of Educational Institutions across the country will be announced in the month of July 2020. As such, students who could not partake in the online examinations will be allowed to sit for the exams in the offline mode but only after the university re-open and issue a notification in this regard.
All academic institutions – including schools, colleges, institutes, universities, coaching institutes – across the country have been closed since the announcement of nationwide lockdown as a precautionary measure to curb the curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The JNU students are advised to keep an eye on the official updates of the varsity for the latest updates.
