Karnataka Govt decides to go ahead with KCET exams in July despite objections by students. The Karnataka government has decided to conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET in July despite several objections raised by students. The news was announced by Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education. The entrance exam is going to be held successfully on July 30 and 31. “We will go ahead with KCET exams on the decided dates. There is no plan to change dates as of now.

“This is an exam where nearly 2 lakh children will write. Aren’t you worried about their safety? We know what kind of social distancing we followed during English exam. That is not even called social distancing. Not even 1 feet distance between each student (sic),” Rakshit R, a student responded to the minister’s tweet. The number of centres was increased and rescheduled the test that was earlier to be held from April 22 to April 24
