State Government announced reopening Date of Colleges from November 17. The State Government of Karnataka has confirmed the reopening date of Degree, Diploma, and Engineering Colleges in the state for in-person classes starting from November 17. The state government has not yet announced the reopening dates for schools.
This announcement was made by the state government after the meeting which is chaired by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa chaired the meeting of officials from health, social welfare, backward class, finance, transport and education departments.
The State has also informed that, students who will stay at SC/ST, social welfare and OBC hostels all necessary safety measures will be taken, also necessary transport arrangements will be made to facilitate smooth conduct of classes.
After the confirmation of college reopening, various universities and colleges have started preparing their registration process. The reopening of colleges in Karnataka will be done by in line with the guidelines issued by the central government as well as the health department of the state.
Schools and Colleges in Karnataka have been shut since March due to the coronavirus pandemic situation. The classes for schools and college students have conducted through online mode.
