Exam pattern

Prelims Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test will be conducted online. The Written Exam will contain 3 sections namely: Reasoning, English Language / Hindi Language, Quantitative Aptitude.

Qualification of a Preliminary exam is essential to appear for the Mains Exam. However, the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be combined with Mains for selection and final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Main Examination (Phase II).

  • Main Examination will consist of Objective tests of 200 Marks.
  • The Objective Test will be online. The Objective Test will have separate timing for every section.
  • The Candidates are required to qualify each of the Tests. There will be negative marks of wrong answers in Objective tests for the main examination.
  • There will be negative marks of¼ marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for the main examination.
  • The time duration of the Mains Exam is 2 Hours 30 Minutes.

Preparation Tricks

  2. For English sections, read newspapers and magazines regularly and note down new words.
