MP State Final Semester Cancellation Request Details:
In the Madhya Pradesh, Aaditya Thackeray, leader of Yuva Sena has requested to Supreme Court for cancellation of the final year examination in all universities in Maharashtra. He said ‘mind the prevailing situation of Coronavirus pandemic in the state and keeping the health and well-being of the students as the top priority. All states to be given the right to take an appropriate decision based on the prevailing situation in their respective areas’. The apex court has admitted the plea on last Saturday. In last week’s meeting, by Disaster Management Committee of Maharashtra government chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the decision to not conduct the final year University exam in the state in the current pandemic was taken.

All the requests from the state government and Maharashtra Students Union to cancel the final year examinations in the state are not considered by UGC. The Commission has not changed its mind yet.
