Maharashtra government launches an online portal for Class 11 admission. Maharashtra government has launched a new website which is 11thadmission.org.in for Class 11 admission in various districts in Maharashtra. The admission process will be conducted on the basis of Maharashtra SSC Result 2020. The students who will pass class 10 examinations can register themselves online on the official site for admission to FYJC, the first year of junior college. Follow us for daily updates.
About Maharashtra government FYJC Admission:
The Class 11 Maharashtra Admissions will be conducted in 6 areas under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The districts include Pune, Aurangabad Amravati, Mumbai, Nashik, and Nagpur. All the Junior colleges affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board are required to participate in the online admission process. The admission board will announce cut-off marks for admission to different Junior Colleges. Students when applying online will have to submit their class 10 marks in the portal.
For applying to admission in Class 11, students shall check the number of streams available. Numerous options will be available to the students while selecting colleges but to a maximum of 10 colleges. If one wants to change the stream, the student can do so during the admission rounds. Then that seat will be allocated to another student, and you won’t be able to switch back.
Earlier, The government has also decided to increase the quota for students with special needs from 3% to 4%, while the reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) has been reduced from 16% to 12%. A total of 50% of seats in junior colleges, affiliated to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), would be reserved for students of the civic body-run schools.
