The students have claimed that as the exams is canceled the fee must be returned immediately or refunded. Many of the students have also expressed their demand on social media platforms. Students have been posting on social media about the #RefundExamFee under which hundreds of students have been tweeting since the last few days. The Supreme Court’s hearing on a decision related to the UGC guidelines for conducting the final Semester Exams 2020 is waiting and the next schedule is scheduled to be conducted on July 31, 2020. Student Body ABVP in Maharashtra also supported students and requested a refund of 100 percent exam fee to the students. The student body has also said that until their demands are accepted by universities they will face protests from the student body.

The examination fee, Library Fee, and other miscellaneous charges are paid by the students at the beginning of the semester. The examination fee of the students ranges from Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 4,500 per student. However, this will vary from the government to private colleges in the state. The demands of students to the authorities have not yet received any clarity about returning the fee.
