Miss India Finalist Aishwarya Sheoran Cracks UPSC Civil Services 2019. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the final result of civil services exam 2019. A total of 829 candidates qualified the civil services examination 2019. Former Miss India finalist Aishwarya Sheoran is among the crop of civil service aspirants who cracked the 2019 exam. Scoring an all-India rank of 93.
Twenty-three-year-old Aishwarya Sheoran has cracked the UPSC Civil Services examination 2019 in her first attempt. Her journey started from Delhi Times Fresh Face, a beauty pageant which was followed by many others. At 18, she was a Femina Miss India 2016 finalist and an alumnus of country’s top college Sri Ram College of Commerce. Not just aspirants but many IAS officers are lauding her for breaking the ‘stereotype against beautiful women’.
“My mother named me Aishwarya after Aishwarya Rai because she wanted me to become Miss India, and I was eventually chosen in the top 21 finalists for Miss India” Aishwarya said, talking to the reporters after her name appeared in the list.
She added that, “she took a break from modelling because she always wanted to be a civil servant. It is for the world to see, that she has succeeded”
A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service; and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. Following the announcement of the results, Prime Minister congratulated the candidates who cleared the civil services exams and said those who did not get the desired results should remember that life is full of several opportunities.
