Maharashtra Home Minister Statement on MPSC Police Exams:
The minister mentioned that following a authorities order of May 22, the syllabus for the zonal MPSC exams was revised and it had been deliberate to conduct the exams in July 2020 underneath the aegis of the Director-Common (Coaching and Particular Operations) and Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik.
The Minister Stated that, “Under the circumstances, the aspirants willing to take the exam hardly have the time to prepare.” The Maharashtra police have been working tirelessly against COVID19. He maximum cases in the country are from Maharashtra which has made the government take decisions like cancellation of the exams, both academic and recruitment. Also as per the minister, there have been various representations from elected representatives asking for the exams to be cancelled.
He additionally mentioned that within the curiosity of the examinees, they have been planning an open guide examination and the syllabus of the exams was also revised recently and the exam was to be conducted in the month of July 2020 but seeing the conditions prevailing in the state the exams have been postponed.
