NEET, JEE Main 2020 Exam – Subramaniam Swamy, Mamata Banerjee & others urge for postponement. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has joined politicians who have asked for further postponement of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2020) and the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test Undergraduate (NEET 2020).
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today appealed to the Centre to assess the risk and postpone the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 until the situation becomes conducive to hold the exams.
Banerjee stressed that it is the duty of the government to ensure a safe environment for all our students. “Now with the directive of @EduMinOfIndia to conduct NEET, JEE 2020 in Sep, I would again appeal to the Centre to assess the risk and postpone these examinations until the situation is conducive again. It is our duty to ensure a safe environment for all our students,” the TMC supremo tweeted.
In a fresh plea to urge the government to postpone NEET and JEE Main 2020 examination, Union Minister Subramaniam Swamy has called on PM Modi to consider the political implications of conducting the examination. Equating it to the blunder, he has said that the decision to conduct the exam can topple the government just like nasbandi decision of Indira Government of 1977.
Taking to twitter, Subramaniam Swamy has directly linked the JEE, NEET 2020 examination a political blunder, capable of toppling the government. He has further noted that voters have a long term memory and they would not forget.
Many students are now hoping for the NEET examination would be postponed. NTA has released guidelines and also the JEE Main 2020 admit card. NEET 2020 Exam centre has also been released. Students who are not happy with their exam centres may reach out to NTA for assistance.
