NPCIL Syllabus 2020
Nuclear Power Corporation of India had announced total of 206 vacancies for the post of Stipendiary Trainees, Scientific Assistant and Assistant Grade. Candidates can apply before 24.11.2020. The selection process of Stipendiary Trainees (ST), Scientific Assistant (SA) is based on written examination and interview. The written examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT). Applicants who applied for Assistant Grade and Steno Grade post are shortlisted by written examination and skill test.
NPCIL Stipendiary Trainees/ Scientific Assistant Exam Pattern:
Candidates who applied for these posts will be subjected to written exam and interview. This exam will be OMR based/ Computer Based Test. The duration of examination will be of 2 hours. This examination will comprise 100 multiple choice questions. These questions are can be divided as part1 and part 2. In part 1, questions are come from the subject of
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
In Part 2 Respective discipline subject questions will be asked
01 (One) mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The qualifying standards shall be as follows:
- General Category (UR/EWSs) – 40% marks
- SC/ST/OBC/PwBD – 30% marks
The number of candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Personal Interview but will not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies notified. The shortlisted candidates will undergo for Personal Interview. The Merit List will be prepared based on the marks obtained in written examination and Personal Interview. The weightage of 50% will be given to written test and 50% of Personal Interview marks.
NPCIL Assistant Grade Pattern:
Applicants will be shortlisted by two stage examination and skill test.
Stage-1- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)
Stage-2 Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration)
Stage-1: This stage one examination will consist 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration. The questions will be taken from the following subjects
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 25 questions
- Computer Knowledge- 15 questions
- English – 10 questions
The maximum marks of this examination are 150. Three marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.The qualifying standards shall be as follows:
- General Category (UR)/EWS – 40% marks
- SC/ST/OBC/PWBD – 30% marks
Stage-2: All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test. The Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration for a maximum of 150 marks. The test will contain 50 multiple choice questions. Three marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer. The questions asked for this exam will be taken from the following subjects.
- Quantitative Aptitude – 25 Questions
- Critical Reasoning – 25 Questions
A merit list of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2 based upon scores obtained in Stage-2 only. Candidates who cleared this exam will eligible for the skill test.
Stage-3 (Skill Test): Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, Candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test. Typewriting Test in English and Computer Proficiency Test are considered as skill test.
