Panjab University – No Exams for Intermediate Semester Students. Panjab University will not conduct examination for the intermediate semesters for colleges and campuses. The new committee formed has prepared a module in this regard.
Panjab University has decided to not conduct examination for the intermediate semesters for colleges and campuses. The varsity has decided to promote all the students who would have appeared for the exam and the University has prepared a module for this.
As per the new module prepared by Panjab University which has been finalized by a special university committee headed by Navdeep Goyal, the result of all classes, including undergraduate and postgraduate, will be prepared to take together 50 percent of marks obtained in internal assessment and 50 percent marks obtained in all previous semester exams.
The newly formed committee has asked the chairperson of the University School of Open Learning, USOL, to send a proposal regarding the method of promotion of students.
Moreover, issue regarding conducting a physical examination of the final semester of UG/PG courses and issues regarding determining the result of those students who failed in first and second semesters would also be discussed in the next meeting conducted by the committee.
The Punjab government has decided to distribute smartphones to girl students of classes 9 to 12 in the state. A total of 50000 smartphones will be distributed to the girl students of the government schools. The distribution will be made by the Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh.
