Pondicherry University to Hold Exams for MBBS, Dental, Nursing and Pharmacy Students. Pondicherry University has released the notice regarding the announcement of semester exams. In partial modification of the circular cited it is clarified to all stakeholders that as per the regulations of statutory bodies like Medical Council of India, Indian Nursing council, Dental council of India, and Pharmacy Council of India the University examinations for MBBS (Supplementary), Dental (UG/PG), Nursing (UG/PG), Pharmacy (UG/PG) will be held in the month of October/November 2020. MD/MS examinations will be held during July/August 2020. Dates of examinations are subject to review depending upon the COVID 19 condition

Pondicherry University clarified that it will be holding undergraduate and postgraduate examinations of medical, dental, nursing, and pharmacy students. In its earlier circular, the varsity had announced its decision to cancel the examinations of final year or semester students and it said that they will be assessed for results based on internal marks and continuous internal assessment during the semester.

Pondicherry University to Hold Exams:

This assessment, according to a statement from the Controller of Examinations had said that, is applicable to all regular papers offered during the final semester or year and also for all arrear papers held by the students.

It has also said MD and MS examinations will be held during July-August 2020. “Dates of examinations are subject to review depending upon the COVID 19 condition,” the new circular said.

With the lockdown imposed, the UGC has come up with guidelines to be followed by the universities and colleges while conducting the semester examinations for the students, many of the universities have taken the decision to conduct the semester exams in the online mode due to the lockdown in view of COVID – 19 Pandemic
