PSEB Punjab Cancels Pending Class 12 Exams. The Punjab Government has decided to cancel the pending examinations of various classes which were earlier announced by Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). The tests were scheduled on July 15, as per the previously announced schedule. PSEB will assess students based on the best performing subjects, details of which will be released soon. Education Minister’s Announcement regarding Exam Cancellation:
Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla has confirmed the news. Stating the government’s decision to cancel all pending exams of Class 12, open school and several other categories, he shared that the decision was taken keeping in mind the growing cases and in view of the ‘hard times’ due to COVID19 pandemic.
Mr. Singla stated that “For instance, if any pupil has appeared within the examinations in solely three topics, the common of the marks obtained in the perfect two performing topics will likely be awarded within the topics whose examinations haven’t been performed”. He added that the decision has been taken in view of the hard times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, the board had postponed Class 12 final examinations and had rescheduled the exams from April 1. Now, the exams are being canceled altogether. Details of the assessment scheme or the ‘best-performing subjects formula’ for PSEB 12th result 2020 is yet to be announced.
PSEB Previous Year Results Details:
In 2019, the 12th result in the state was declared on May 11. The pass percentage was 86.41 percentage which was a jump of more than 20 percentage points compared to 2018 when the pass percentage was 65.97%.
