Punjab BDS Students Request CM to Cancel Final Exams:
The students studying Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course have urged the Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh to intervene in directing the authorities at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) not to go in for annual exams of BDS, in view of the fast increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. The University has scheduled exams from July 7 and is adamant about going in for the exams.
Directions of putting persons from other states in quarantine and the risk factor of contracting the virus due to community transfer will be looming large if students are asked to travel to Punjab from various states, students wrote in their memorandum submitted to administrative authorities at various districts in last two days. They say the health authorities are asking people to maintain social distancing and stay at home but here students are being forced to come and gather to take exams.
