Rajasthan government will award girl students who have topped in their districts with cash prize. A total of 1208 girls will be awarded cash money up to Rs 1 lakh under Indira Priyadarshini Award in Rajasthan. Toppers of Class 8, Class 10 and Class 12 of Rajasthan Board will be awarded in the state.
In march 2020 Indira Priyadarshini Award was changed to Padmakshi award. A total amount of Rs 9 crore 92 lakh 45 thousand has been released today. Govind Singh Dotasra, Minister of Education has tweeted in this regard that says “An amount of Rs 9 crore 92 lakh 45 thousand has been released today for 1208 girls selected for Indira Priyadarshini Award in Rajasthan. Congratulations once again to the promising girls of the state for their bright future with best wishes.”
Girls from categories general, scheduled caste scheduled tribe other minorities backward caste those who belong to BPL and disabled sections are eligible for the award. The prize money is for students who has topped in class 8 10 and 12 board exams. Toppers of class 8 will get prize money of 40000 that for class 10 is 75000 and for class 12 upto 100000. Students of eight cadres studying in the Sanskrit Education Department, who have secured the first position in the state in the board’s Class 8th, Entrance, and Senior Upadhyaya Board examinations will also be rewarded.
