Exam Date Details
- The Commission has decided to conduct the Skill Test of the eligible candidates of CHSLE -2018 on 26.11.2020, based on the result of Tier-II of the said Examination declared on 25.02.2020, and on 05.08.2020.
- In this context, it is important to note that due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation, and also with a view to expedite the recruitment process, the Commission has decided to conduct the Skill Tests on pan-India basis.
- The Skill Test of the eligible candidates of CGLE – 2018 would be held in December 2020, the exact date of which shall be notified separately.
- A Demo of the processes involved in the Skill Tests Shall be uploaded on the website of the Commission shortly for the benefit of the candidates.

CGL 2018 Exam Pattern
SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam is a Computer Skill Test. It will be conducted in two steps: DEST Test & CPT Test.
DEST: Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate’s writing skills.
CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides.
