Telangana Engineering colleges to reopen on August 17. Telangana Engineering colleges would start their classes on August 17, 2020, and the state would soon decide on the dates of schools reopening. Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that the academic year for engineering colleges across Telangana would start from August 17, 2020, and that a final decision for reopening of schools would soon be taken in the state.

The government also decided to start the engineering calendar year from August 17 and prepare a plan to start new academic year and the introduction of new system in teaching pattern in tune with the guidelines issued by the Union government recently. The government will also study the educational system adopted by other states in the post Covid time.

Chief Minister Rao announced about a long-term strategy being prepared and executed to strengthen the government institutes in the state. He proposed to do this by totally cleaning the education system. The chief minister said, “The academic year of engineering course will commence from August 17. The government will soon take the final decision on when should school in the State should open, how teaching should take place and other related issues, after examining the Centre Guidelines, methods adopted by other states.”
