TN 10th Public Exam 2020 Cancelled – All 950,000 students to be promoted. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy has announced that the 10th Public Exams in Tamil Nadu has been canceled and all passed. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy in Chennai met with reporters today and issued a major announcement on the SSLC Exams. All class 10th students will be promoted to the next grade without exams.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy told reporters in Chennai today that the 10th Public Exams in Tamil Nadu would be held on June 15. In addition Examinations were also scheduled for the missing subjects for the 11th std students.
But corona virus continues to rise in Tamil Nadu and especially in Chennai. In this case, the examination of the tenth and 11th grade students has been completely canceled due to the safety of the students.
The Chief Minister has also announced that the Students quarterly and half-year exams take into account the scores of 80% and school attendance will be taken into account, with a score of 20%. It is also announced that the pending 12th class examination will be decided soon.
Madras High Court had yesterday almost made it clear in its statement that it is convinced to restrain the state from conducting Board exams for class 10th. The court was to take a decision on TN SSLC exams on June 11.
The court on June 8, 2020 asked if the Tamil Nadu government can give an undertaking if no child would be infected with COVIDD19 once the exams begin. As per a report the court said, “ We cannot allow the state to put lives of more than 9 lakh students at stake. This is not like opening Tasmac shops during the lockdown.”
