UPSC Recruitment Age Limit:

  • Medical Officer/Research Officer: 35 years
  • Assistant Engineer: 30 years
  • Assistant Professor: 40 years
  • Senior Scientific Officer: 35 years
  • Architect (Group-A): 40 years

UPSC Recruitment Age Eligibility:

Medical Officer/Research Officer:

  • A Degree in Homoeopathy of a recognised University/ Statutory State Board/ Council or equivalent recognised under the Homoeopathic Central Council ACT, 1973 (59 of 1973).
  • Enrolment on the Central Register of Homoeopathy or State Register of Homoeopathy

Assistant Engineer:

Chemistry (Inorganic) from a recognized University OR Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development

Assistant Professor (General Medicine):

  • A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
  • Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Medicine/ General Medicine).

Assistant Professor (Neuro Surgery):

  • A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
  • Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Magister Chirurguie (Neuro Surgery); or Diplomate National Board (Neuro Surgery)

Senior Scientific Officer (Ballistics):

Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Senior Scientific Officer (Biology):

Master’s Degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Life Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University.

Senior Scientific Officer (Chemistry):

Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University.

Senior Scientific Officer (Documents):

Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent (OR) B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized university or equivalent.

Note (i):  Equivalent qualification may be treated as NIL.

Note (ii): Equivalent means B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology / Electronics and Communication Engineering / M.Sc. in Information Technology / Masters in Computer Application / Bachelor of Engineering in Electricals and Electronics / B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation / M.Sc. in Cyber Security.

Senior Scientific Officer (Photo):

Graduate degree preferably in science with diploma in photography from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent

Note: Equivalent means Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art (Photography) from a recognized university/Bachelor’s degree in crime scene photography/ Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Photography.

Senior Scientific Officer (Physics):

Master degree in Physics or Forensic Science with Physics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Note:  M.Sc (Applied Physics) may taken as equivalent.

Architect (Group-A):

Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Should be registered as Architect with Council of Architecture, India.

UPSC Recruitment 2020 Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
